OUR HISTORY

Brisull Industries was established in August 1986. Combining their names and their business acumen, Robert Britt and Karen Sullivan went on to grow ‘Bri-Sull’ Industries from a two-person start-up to a key player in the building and construction industry.

With an ever increasingly diverging market we have continually adapted the business to participate in a variety of business models.

This flexibility and adaptability has allowed Brisull to gain valuable experience and knowledge across many sectors and industries, although we have never left our core business involving property and construction.

  • Building and construction

  • Property development and investments
  • Project management
  • Contracting
  • Commercial fit-outs
  • Consultancy
  • Student accommodation

1986

With Robert’s wealth of experience in property and construction and Karen’s business acumen, we started work on small developments and commercial construction projects in the NSW area.

1991

Our business expanded to include medium density residential developments.

1998

We entered into a joint venture to develop a shopping centre and service station in Southeast Queensland. This involved acquisition to disposal, we secured the purchase of the premises and managed the leasing arrangement prior to exiting.

1999

Quickly developing a reputation for quality work, we won more business across the country, growing our service to suit residential, industrial and retail industries, whilst still maintaining our loyal clients in the commercial world.

2007

Identifying an opportunity in the market, we converted a 134-bed aged care facility into international student accommodation for 150 students.  This business ran successfully through to 2012 when international competition saturated the market.

2012

We focused our core business on concept-to-completion office fit-out solutions, for commercial business.  This resulted in the first of many complex commercial fit-out projects for heritage listed buildings in Sydney’s CBD.

We were engaged by SAI Global to manage design and construct works for their Sydney Headquarters. This was the start of a solid working relationship, which led to many more projects across the country.

2016

Brisull Industries has established a core team of industry experts and a network of over 100 loyal subcontractors. We served a variety of clients in the commercial world, from family run businesses to publicly listed companies, Australia-wide.

2020

With the impact of the Coronavirus epidemic, Brisull Industries (like many other businesses) experienced a reduction in works – but, we carried on and stayed strong.

2022

As the impacts of the pandemic started to ease, Brisull Industries invested in its leadership team to respond to the backlog of projects ramping up, securing large and diverse works throughout multiple correctional centres and courthouses throughout NSW.

Present Day

We continue to grow our capability and deliver successful projects across New South Wales.
